How it works
From your hotel to the saddle and back
About 3 hours from your hotel door and back; about 1 hour of it in the saddle. Here is where the rest goes.
- 01
Pickup at your hotel
An air-conditioned vehicle collects you at your hotel's main entrance gate. Your exact time is assigned from the day's schedule and sent to you before the day.
- 02
Transfer to the riding centre
A drive into the countryside behind Side, shared with the other riders being collected for the same ride.
- 03
Meet your horse
The instructors match each rider to a horse that suits their build and confidence. Helmets are handed out.
- 04
Briefing and short lesson
How to sit, how to steer, how to stop — the basics, before anyone moves off.
- 05
The guided ride
About an hour at a relaxed walk: pine-forest trails, open countryside and a stretch along the shoreline, with the guide alongside the group throughout.
- 06
Back to your hotel
The same vehicle brings you back to the same door.
The exact route may vary depending on weather, ground conditions, horse welfare, safety, the group's ability and operational conditions.
The experience
Forest, open country and the sea — from the saddle
The riding centre sits in the countryside behind Side, and the route uses what is around it: shaded trails through pine forest, open land, and a stretch along the Mediterranean shoreline with sand underfoot. It is ridden at a relaxed walk with a guide, which is why first-timers are the rule rather than the exception.
Riders who can show real experience may be offered a controlled faster stretch where conditions allow — at the guide's discretion, never guaranteed and never forced on anyone who would rather keep walking.
The exact route may vary depending on weather, ground conditions, horse welfare, safety, the group's ability and operational conditions.

We collect from the whole Side strip
From Gündoğdu in the west to Kızılot and Çenger in the east, with Side in the middle: round-trip transfer from every zone listed here is included in the fare. If your hotel is somewhere else, ask us before booking — we do not auto-accept a pickup we have not confirmed.

What should I wear?
Comfort, freedom of movement, suitable shoes
You do not need riding clothes. You need clothes you can move in and shoes that stay on.
Wear
- Comfortable clothing you can move in
- Sports or outdoor clothing
- Comfortable trousers, ideally long
- Closed, comfortable sports shoes
- Sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat for the open stretches
Leave at the hotel
- Flip-flops and sandals
- High heels
- Loose clothing that could catch or flap
- Anything you would mind getting dusty
The principle: comfort, freedom of movement and shoes that stay on your feet. What to wear
Our horses
Cared for, monitored, documented
The horses are the ride. Their welfare is a working responsibility, not a marketing line — and we describe it in plain words.
Regular care and monitoring
The horses are regularly monitored and cared for, and each rider is matched to a horse that suits them. A horse that is not fit to work does not work.
Veterinary supervision
Veterinary care is provided according to applicable requirements, and the horses' health is monitored as part of the daily operation.
Identified and documented
Each horse is individually identified, with official identification and health documentation maintained through the relevant Turkish agricultural and veterinary authorities.
Can I bring something for the horses?
Yes — apples or carrots make good treats, and you are welcome to bring some.
Please ask the riding staff before feeding a horse. Feeding is controlled by staff so it suits the individual horse.
Safety first
What we do so the ride goes well
Horse riding is not risk-free, and we will not tell you it is. What we can tell you is what happens on every ride so that it goes well.
- 01 A safety briefing and riding instructions before anyone mounts
- 02 Professional supervision from the first minute to the last
- 03 A riding helmet available for every rider
- 04 Each rider matched to a horse that suits their build and confidence
- 05 The group organised and led by the guide, at a walk
- 06 The route managed on the day for ground and conditions
- 07 The weather watched — in bad weather the ride is moved or refunded in full
- 08 The horses' welfare procedures, because a calm, healthy horse is a steadier horse
Follow the guide's instructions, tell us before the ride about anything that might matter — pregnancy, a back problem, a first-timer who is nervous — and the ride is what it should be: calm.
Before you ride
First time on a horse?
None of this is obvious the first time. These are the questions riders actually ask us.
- First time on a horse? No experience needed. What the lesson covers, what the guide does, and what a nervous first-timer can ask for.
- Who can join? Age, weight, health and experience — the recorded limits, with their qualifiers, and nothing invented.
- How long does it take? About an hour riding, about three hours door to door — where the rest of the time goes.
- What time is pickup? Why there is no single time on this site, how yours is assigned, and when you receive it.
- What if it rains? In bad weather the ride is moved or refunded in full. How the decision is made.
- Prices One fare per rider, transfer included, nothing charged online. What it covers, and what is paid at the riding centre.

Questions
Is hotel transfer included?
Yes. Round-trip transfer from your hotel by air-conditioned vehicle is included in the fare from every pickup zone on the Side strip — Gündoğdu, Çolaklı, Evrenseki, Kumköy, Side, Sorgun, Titreyengöl, Kızılağaç, Kızılot and Çenger. If your hotel is somewhere else, message us before booking and we will tell you honestly whether we can reach you.
How much does the horse safari cost?
€40 per rider, and every rider pays the same. That is the whole price of the standard ride: about an hour of guided riding, the helmet, the briefing and the round-trip hotel transfer. Sunset, sunrise and private rides are separate bookings with a price on request.
How long is the ride itself?
About 1 hour in the saddle. We say 'about' on purpose — the exact time depends on the group and the day, and we would rather not promise a number to the minute.
What time will you collect me?
Your exact pickup time is assigned from the day's operational schedule and sent to you before the day, on the number you give us when booking. We deliberately do not print one universal time, because there is none: it depends on your hotel and the day's route. Please be ready at your hotel's main entrance gate shortly before your confirmed time.
Do I need riding experience?
No. Beginners are the rule here. You get a short lesson — how to sit, steer and stop — a helmet, and a guide who stays with the group the whole way at a relaxed walk. Young or nervous first-timers can have a staff member walk alongside holding the horse's head.
Is there a minimum age?
Generally 6, subject to the guide's assessment on the day. Tell us a child's age in the notes when you book and the guide sets the ride up for them.
Are helmets provided?
A riding helmet is available for every rider, and it is handed out at the riding centre before the briefing.
Is the sunset ride included in the €40 price?
No. The sunset ride is a separate, special booking. It is requested through the sunset page, the price may differ from the standard ride, and we confirm it with you before anything is booked.
Do I pay online?
No. Nothing is charged when you reserve and we do not ask for card details. You pay on the day.
Can I cancel?
Yes — free of charge up to 24 hours before the ride. Tell us as early as you can and someone else gets the horse.
