Who can join the horse safari?
The recorded limits, with the words that go with them — because "generally" and "recommended" are part of the answer.
Riders generally join from age 6, subject to the guide's assessment on the day. The recommended maximum rider weight is around 100–110 kg. Pregnancy rules the ride out, as do serious back or mobility problems. No riding experience is needed. There is no height rule on record and no other limit we will invent.
Age
Generally from 6. The guide assesses on the day — looking at the child, not the paperwork — and a young rider can have a staff member walk alongside holding the horse's head for the whole ride. Tell us a child's age in the notes when you book. There is no upper age limit on record; the question for an older rider is the same as for anyone: comfortable getting on and off, and no serious back or mobility problem.
Weight
The recommended maximum rider weight is around 100–110 kg. It is a recommendation for the horse's sake, not a turnstile; if you are close to it, message us before booking and we will give you a straight answer.
Health
Not suitable during pregnancy, and not suitable for anyone with serious back or mobility problems. Beyond those two, use your judgement and tell us what might matter: the guide would rather know before the ride than find out on the trail.
Experience
None needed. The short lesson, the helmet, a horse matched to you and the guide alongside are what make a first-timer's ride work — the beginners' page says how. Experienced riders are matched accordingly and may be offered a controlled faster stretch where conditions allow, at the guide's discretion.
What is not on this page, and why
A height limit, a maximum age, a body-mass rule, a list of medical conditions: none of these is on the operator's record, so none of them is here. We publish the limits that exist, with their qualifiers, and answer the rest by message.
