Horse safari for families in Side
A ride the whole family does together, with the youngest looked after most.
Families ride the standard 1-hour safari together, €40 per rider with hotel transfer included. Children generally ride from age 6, subject to the guide's assessment on the day, on calm horses matched to them, and can have a staff member walk alongside holding the horse's head for the whole ride. Tell us each child's age in the notes when you book, and the guide sets the ride up for them.
Children on the ride
A child gets the same as everyone — helmet, short lesson, a horse matched to them — plus the thing that makes the difference: on request, a member of staff walks alongside holding the horse's head for the whole ride. The pace is a walk anyway; with a hand on the bridle it is a walk with a safety margin. Children generally ride from age 6; the guide decides on the day, looking at the child rather than the birth certificate.

Every rider pays the same fare — there is no child fare and no non-rider fare on record. Someone who wants to come along without riding: tell us first through the contact form, so we can say honestly what is possible.
Feeding the horses
This is usually the part children remember. Bring apples or carrots, and ask the staff before feeding a horse — they will put the right horse in front of the right child and show them how.
Timing for a family
About 1 hour of riding, about 3 hours from your hotel door and back, with the pickup and the drive inside that. It fits into a morning or an afternoon without giving up the beach. Your exact pickup time is sent to you before the day.
What to wear
Comfortable clothes and closed shoes for everyone — trainers, not sandals — long trousers if you have them, sunscreen and a hat. The clothing page has the full list. Helmets are available for child riders as for adults.
